Our first week in NY was so hot and sunny that I think I wore this skirt every other day... I can't get enough of that mustard colour and of those flying swallows print.

Pistol day and night

None of these are affordable for me, but if I was in a city with quite some money, this is how I would dress right now... If I had to keep one thing, it would be the Acne Pistol boots. They are perfect, not too high, cowboyish enough but not too much and just as rock'n'roll!

Packing for New York!

Mardi midi je serai à New York. Mais avant ça, the BIG mission, c'est de faire la valise intelligemment (je la fais aujourd'hui car je pars demain pour Bruxelles et de là je m'envole mardi matin). Parce que hein, what do you take to NEW YORK???? Ben oui, t'arrives à NY en pleine Fashion week, t'as pas envie de ressembler à une plouc! Mais en même temps, je ne risque pas de me trimballer en talons de 12 (en même temps j'en ai même pas:)). En effet, je compte bien arpenter le bitume en long, en large et en travers... Donc re-mission, avoir du style en sneakers quand on ne fais pas 1m80 et 55kg! Allez, on est confiante mamzelle, on fait ce qu'on veut avec des vêtements, et puis hein, il y des soucis bien plus grave dans la vie.

Atlas breeze.

Here's the dress. I got it from Wolf & Gipsy, my favorite vintage shop in Brighton. As I said, it is made of a brilliant thick cotton, that keep you warm and cool at the same time. I can perfectly imagine wearing it in the summer evening breeze on the porch of le Cabanon, listening to the crickets and the leaves' murmur...

I love the macramé bottom with the tassels that swing when I walk.

Another day off, amazing, I'm all disoriented! Got the perfect-but-faulty sandals refunded and with the money I bought an amazing vintage thick white cotton dress. Photo soon. But now, I'm going to sit in the Grange and look at poppies.

The little Mermaid

I'm naughty. I know. But yesterday, on a "no particular need or desire to buy anything, but let's go for a walk in town" I popped into Delilah (expensive shop) in Lewes, just because there is a sale at the moment. Of course I was counting on that lovely encounter. They where there, at the back of the shop, on their own... Aren't these Repetto shoes crazy??? Their price was craaaaazy too (crazily cheap:)! I thought it would be so sad to leave them....

I rarely plan my outfits in advance, but yesterday evening, speaking of The Magnificent Seven I felt inspired by Mexican customs. I especially like the uncommon look of Frida Kahlo.

Bridesmaid dress #2

I wanted to find the perfect vintage 50's dress for my friend's wedding. I've been looking for a year, and even if there are lots of lovely shops in Brighton, I couldn't find a dress of the right shape, the right colour, but mostly the right size! Three criterias you can't miss ( especially the last one-cna't change your nature)... So, last week, still hunting, I ended up having a look in Zara and "bim", what did I see there on a tiny rail? Mrs cute dress! Good bye 50's glamourous gown and hello cheap romantism...

Sunny Grange

A couple of weeks ago, on a thursday, it was so sunny and warm that it felt like spring was pointing it's nose. I went to have a walk around the antique shops and found these little goodies. Then I sat on a bench in the Grange and stayed there for a long moment with my eyes closed and the kissing sun on my cheeks. It was a lovely day, it was also the day I wrote that sad post. But, let's just think about the sun!

Ah lala, hier on m'a dit "tu connais ce truc "polyvore"?", j'ai dit "euh ouais, j'ai lu un truc dessus mais je ne sais pas ce que c'est..." Voilà, dare-dare que je me connecte, crée un profil et passe une heure à feuilleter les milliers de pages de vêtements et accessoires que propose cette base de données. Je voulais d'abord faire un "party-mix" et finalement je suis tombée sur cette bague-celle en bas à gauche- et du coup ça m'a inspirée niveau bling. Des bijoux de déesse grecque à faire chuter la bourse de Paris et qui me donne envie d'être au soleil dans une robe légère...

Best buy

Since august, beside au pairing, I work in a lovely shop. I love clothes and selling them. This shirt comes from the Russian Navy surplus. We sell them in the men's shop, they are 100% cotton and at a good price. I could wear it everyday.

The photo doesn't show it, but the stripes are navy blue, not black. Ideal for a basic, decontracted style with a pair of Monkee Genes jeans.

I particularly like the little tag written in Russian.
