Another great illustration from James Gulliver Hancock- All the buildings in New York. Everything that comes to NY is making me awfully and wonderfully nostalgic...

Brighton rock.
I've just been invited on my friend Elena's show on the radio, to talk about my english experience. I read an extract of Graham Greene's Brighton Rock.
"HALE knew they meant to murder him before he had been in Brighton three hours. With his inky fingers and his bitten nails, his manner cynical and nervous, anybody could tell he didn't be- long belong to the early summer sun, the cool Whit- sun wind off the sea, the holiday crowd. They came in by train from Victoria every five minutes, rocked down Queen's Road standing on the tops of the little local trams, stepped off in bewildered multitudes into fresh and glittering air : the new silver paint sparkled on the piers, the cream houses ran away into the west like a pale Victorian water-colour; a race in miniature mo- tors, a band playing, flower gardens in bloom below the front, an aeroplane advertising something for the health in pale vanishing clouds across the sky. "

Rolling.
The last day in NY, we went to Coney Island. Was a funnily quiet place (middle of september), except for a DJ on the boardwalk (!) in the middle of the afternoon, with people dancing and all...
It must have been something at the beginning of the XXth Century!
Makes me think that I've been watching Boardwalk Empire during the past 2 weeks. The plot, the set, the actors, the music, the COSTUMES!!!, everything makes it a good series! Highly recomended!
Hope you are having fun in your lives!

Horizon.
Ok.
People ask you "what do you do now?"
"Nothing."
"Oh, and do you have any projects?"
"No"
"Ah, and what do you want to do?"
"I just told you I didn't have any projects..."
"Interesting, what are the things you like?..."
and so on.
How do you tell -without being rude- the 50th person asking you the same questions that you can't bear it anymore?

Eyes on New York Nº4-Brooklyn Street Art-1
I can definitely say that my favorite area was Brooklyn in general. It felt like home. People seemed real. Streets were artistically alive. Colourful.

Fave NYC outfit.
Our first week in NY was so hot and sunny that I think I wore this skirt every other day... I can't get enough of that mustard colour and of those flying swallows print.
