I wish you, everyone (my six readers and the people all around the world) a peaceful and loveful moment with your family and friends, and may it be even all year round! Love. xx. Nina.
The other day I posted a video of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and Sarah commented that she always wanted to be Fred.
I think I'd like to be Gene Kelly. Or maybe Fred too... Funnily enough, I'm sometimes more fascinated by male dancers (and actors), as if it was easier to be a man... Maybe, maybe not.
I've already writen here how much I loved Cesaria Evora. Her voice crafted my ears throughout years. She passed away two days ago, aged 70, and it feels like a hole, but I'll keep her always in my heart! (Photo from cesaria-evora.com)
In april 2010, in took the first shot with my Diana mini, who's dead now. When I was a child, I used to love stroking those statues from my grandpa on my grandma's wall. I still love the touch of the stone, but this time, it was too cold...
I hope you spend/spent a peaceful Thanksgiving. I'm off to Austria to help my mother for her painting exhibition and then to Hungary to visit my family. I'm not sure I'll be able to post from there, so have a good week everyone!
Just stumbled upon that song of Lana del Rey, made me think of my grand-mother. She is the wisest person I know. An artist. Always listening, always saying the right thing. She is 85 and still works on a new book. She wrote lots of them, about weaving, natural dye, minerals... My cousin Dóra wrote an article about them here.
Little story: she never smoke in her whole life, but one cigarette and there is a photo of it.
