Manhattan in Brooklyn.

On 9/11/11, after spending the afternoon at Ground zero, we didn't feel like going out to party. We ate in Chinatown and headed to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a movie. When we arrived there, we found out that there was a free screening of Woody Allen's Manhattan. We decided to go for it. What an original way to pay hommage to the City and its People. It was moving, beautiful and funny too. Surely an other unforgettable moment we spent in New York...

They tied the knot!

Remember my friend La marmotte's upcoming wedding and my quest for the perfect bridesmaid's dress and shoes. There we are, it was yesterday. Everything was simply perfect or perfectly simple and romantic...

I guess, she will describe it -in details- better than me on her blog soon...

As a leaving present, Sara got given an Initiation flight and asked me to go and support her. So I fought my fear (she was going to fly the aircraft herself! :-)) and went along... I don't regret it, and, I'm still alive!

Bridesmaid dress #2

I wanted to find the perfect vintage 50's dress for my friend's wedding. I've been looking for a year, and even if there are lots of lovely shops in Brighton, I couldn't find a dress of the right shape, the right colour, but mostly the right size! Three criterias you can't miss ( especially the last one-cna't change your nature)... So, last week, still hunting, I ended up having a look in Zara and "bim", what did I see there on a tiny rail? Mrs cute dress! Good bye 50's glamourous gown and hello cheap romantism...

Cannes

Tonight is the 64th Cannes Film Festival's opening. I used to watch the ceremony on tv, back in France. There's always something magical about it. This year I'll miss it. Are you going to watch it?
Juste an anecdote. One year, my first year of University - when I didn't go much to Uni-, I watched a french show "Le Grand Journal de Canal+ à Cannes" every evening. One night, Eric and Ramzy- a french comedian duo- were the guests. They are very funny. Though what happened wasn't premedited: Ramzy came in running on the stage and fell off the table! It was so surprising that Camoyt(the friend who watched it with me) and I couldn't stop laughing- for days! Poor him though, he really hurt himself.

Oussama Ben Laden is Dead

I don't know how I feel about it. It is weird. I can only have a thought for the families of the victims of 9/11.

Anniversary

Today, here in the UK, everyone is going on about the Royal Wedding, but for me this day is my parents' 30th anniversary. Happy anniversary!
